This product is a lot faster and smoother than the older epilady. It doesn't hurt and it has the same results as waxing. For $50, you can't go wrong! It beats having to pay for waxing each time.

just for the record I don't love the malfunction. I do, however, love how amiable the amazon team was in helping me solve the problem.
the first Epilady Legend I ordered inexplicably broke after a few days of use. it was a minor workmanship flaw, but I loved the Epilator so much that I couldn't just return it. so, I ordered another one (exchanged it).
more on the actual product:
it's so easy to use! I figured the best way to go about using is by simply going for it. people may be terrified of what it may feel like or if it's going to hurt a whole lot, and the truth of the matter is that it will (not too painful either, I don't mean to sound dramatic-if you just go for it you will get used to the sensation a few seconds after).
the epilator pulls the hair from where you want it removed using multiple tweezer heads at once. the hair growth takes longer than it would if shaved (not to mention your skin is smoother after every use).
you do have to charge the apparatus 12 hours prior to use, so don't plan on using it right away! (I charged it overnight to have it ready in the morning).
the Epilady Legend is easy to use, clean, and is not heavy.
I ordered the product because my aunt has been a loyal Epilady customer since it first came out, and I thought hey it's been 20 years since the Epilady first made it's debut and this lady still owns one... something's going incredibly right here. now i brag about how great this product is. i'd definitely recommend it.

This listing describes an epilator with 40 tweezer discs. The one I received had only 20. Amazon compensated me for the return shipping, and gave me an immediate refund. I'm not sure if the wrong-product issue was a fluke that happened only to me, or if the product description was just plain wrong.
This epilator itself is...okay. Not great. I had to run over some areas of my legs quite a few times. I ended up purchasing a different epilator - the Braun 5270 Silk-épil X'elle Body System Epilator. That one's fantastic, and causes much less irritation.
Bottom line: it works, but there are better products on the market.

So far have used this about 4 times in trying to get my legs sensitized. The first time brought a minor sting and afterwards no problems. I would suggest that your first time be done when you do not have plans to go swimming or the like. This product holds a long charge and is very convenint to have on hand. I have also noticed an instant smoothness to my legs since letting go of the razor. Glad to be on board!
